Kelsy Chauvin lives among the brownstones of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, & makes regular visits to New Orleans & Seattle, her former hometowns. Since 2005, she’s worked as a freelance travel writer & photographer. She specializes in LGBTQ community and travel reporting, & also covers a variety of destinations & subjects -- from global gastronomy & nightlife, to seasonal events, cannabis tourism, & local arts & culture. Kelsy contributes to Fodor’s Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, Passport, CNN Travel, Afar, & other publications.Kelsy is president of the New York Travel Writers Association (NYTW.info), & is a longtime member of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA.org). As a speaker, she has participated on panels at the New York Times Travel Show, the PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference, Philadelphia Travel & Adventure Show, Travel Gay Canada Tourism Conference, & others. She's also been quoted in several New York Times articles as an LGBTQ travel expert.
